About

An evolving tale of my thoughts and experiences in NYC as told from the scruffy gay perspective.  The process of maturing, body image, sex, relationships, and the social and politic shifts impacting the queer community are common topics, as well as features on men in the City who are doing things I think are cool or important.

My goal is to reflect and share my experiences so we all have something more to think on and talk about with each other.

    Hey Justin,

loved your post on gentrification, especially the “whatever happens, we’ll find our place” bit.

    Gambatte and take care,

I read “My Biggest Mistake” – I’ve made some good gay friends in NYC but they all left. Now I should make new ones but I don’t know how. I’m afraid they would leave me. I thought this was my problem but it seems like someone out there has the same problem…it made me feel a little better. Thanks Justin. ありがとう

    I love this blog.
It is plainly and sensitively written.
You really explore the issues of our community in an honest and real way.
The posting about barebacking is brilliant.
Here in San Francisco, it is a major issue in the community and tempers flare when it is discussed.

Thank you so much for sharing your unique view with the world. You are an asset to our community.
